Tight end Marshall Pritchett Has Flipped to Alabama
Another commitment flip has occurred in the 2025 class, this time in favor of Alabama.

Four-star tight end Marshall Pritchett, who has been committed to North Carolina since March, has decided to flip and continue his collegiate career with the Crimson Tide. Pritchett, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound athlete from Rabun Gap, Georgia, played for Rabun Gap-Nacooche High School. According to MaxPreps, during his junior year, he recorded 44 receptions for 621 yards and four touchdowns.
Pritchett is ranked as the No.30 tight end in the country and the No.535 player in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports. He is now the second tight end in the 2025 class that Alabama has secured via a flip along with four-star Kaleb Edwards.
With the possibility of Alabama losing two tight ends to the 2025 draft, Pritchett will play a key role in rebuilding Alabama’s tight end corps. Pritchett will not only bring valuable skills to Tuscaloosa and a winning mentality but also a clear goal in mind: “I want to bring the first Mackey Award to Tuscaloosa, Roll Tide,” said Pritchett when announcing his commitment to Hayes Fawcett.
The John Mackey Award, given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football, has never been won by an Alabama player, despite CJ Dippre being named to the award watch list in the preseason. Pritchett’s dedication to break this trend highlights his competitive spirit and dedication.
