On Friday afternoon, Alabama senior defensive lineman Tim Keenan III accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl, a week of practice for college seniors in front of NFL scouts, general managers, and coaches as NFL-hopeful prospects begin their NFL draft journey.

Keenan, a 6-foot-2, 320-pound defensive tackle from Birmingham, Alabama, was rated as a three-star defensive line prospect coming out of Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He committed to Alabama on August 29, 2020, and signed with the Crimson Tide as a member of Alabama's 2021 recruiting class. Keenan was first offered by Alabama on June 19, 2018.

After not seeing much playing time as a true freshman and redshirt freshman, Keenan burst onto the scene at Alabama in 2023, becoming a mainstay in the Tide's defensive line rotation. Over the course of his Alabama career, Keenan has totaled 92 tackles, 5.5 sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.

Keenan is the second Alabama defender who has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl, with fellow Alabama captain and Mobile native Deontae Lawson accepting his invitation earlier this week. Alabama will presumably have more players accept invites in the coming weeks, as Crimson Tide stars begin to weigh their options of returning to school or forgoing the remainder of their eligibility and declaring for the NFL draft.

The Senior Bowl game will be played on Saturday, January 31, in Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
