Residents in Tuscaloosa are being asked to come out and donate blood in honor of a very special high school student that left an impact on the city of Tuscaloosa.

Monday, April 14th, The Cameron Tyler Prince Legacy Foundation will host a blood drive to honor the memory of fallen Hillcrest High School student Cameron Tyler Prince.

"This meaningful event not only supports a vital cause but also helps raise funds for scholarships that empower future generations," the foundation said in the event's bio on Facebook.

The blood drive will be held at Hillcrest High School at the indoor football facility starting at 9a.Participants that give blood will receive $15 e-gift card while supplies last.

Tammy Prince, mother of Cameron Prince, spoke on the importance of this blood drive saying, "It not only supports a vital cause but it also helps raise funds for scholarships for students who are planning to attend college."

Cameron Prince passed away on November 18th, 2021 after surgery complications. He was diagnosed with a heart condition at 7 years old.

The Cameron Tyler Prince Legacy Foundation, Inc. was launched on Cameron Prince's birthday, January 3, 2023.

The foundation aims to support and share heart disease awareness, provide educational support, donate to charitable causes, and serve the community with acts of kindness. As part of the foundation’s mission, they aim to provide annual educational support to graduating Seniors of Hillcrest High School.
