The National Weather Service in Birmingham said, “The evolution of this risk hinges on a few factors that remain to be seen, given the type of setup, and should become more apparent with time on Sunday.”
Timing is predicted currently for Sunday afternoon into the evening hours, which could impact portions of West and Central Alabama.
The possible threats are damaging winds up to 60 mph. “Some models/runs of models vary on the amount of storms, for example, but show an environment suitable for severe,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
