A New Location for a Very Familiar Coffee Shop

The University of Alabama has a new Starbucks location open close to Newk’s on University Boulevard.

The school's website states that the new Starbucks location is 1000 square feet with only drive-thru service. However, customers will have a walk-up window to place orders for their favorite hot or cold Starbucks beverage.

UA says the cost of this new location is $2.75 million.

The actual building is only one story with the “traditional” Starbucks design. The planning for this location started back in April 2022. Snow-Blakeney Construction is the general contractor for the project.

There are two other University-affiliated locations. One is at the Student Center at 751 Campus Drive and the other location is at 807 Paul W. Bryant Drive.
