Tuscaloosa Gets Validation And Shout Outs On Popular Shows
Typically, when Alabama or the South is mentioned in a Hollywood production, it's not really good.

It usually revolves around jokes about how slow, backwards, and downright stupid they believe we are in 'Bama.
Sometimes I have to turn it off because it begins to raise my blood pressure.
I remember watching a national news network panel debate during the election with joke after joke about how dumb we are due to our statewide majority vote for President Trump.
It was absolutely infuriating!
However, it's not always a bashing from the LEFT COAST.
While researching this story, I have had a few people reach out to share other shows that have mentioned Tuscaloosa in the past.
In the nineties, this was one of the biggest television shows, and it was set in a big city hospital.
It was on Thursday nights, and it was called E.R.
There was a scene in one episode with a lady being wheeled in on a gurney, and she was yelling about "calling her auntie in Tuscaloosa".
It was fast, but it was definitely Tuscaloosa being yelled on national TV.
Plus, you can't forget stories about the massive hit "The Beverly Hillbillies," which featured an indian character rattling off a bunch of lines and then "TUSCALOOSA" is heard.
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THIS?
I have lived here since my high school days at TCHS (WILDCATS FOR LIFE!), and I'd never heard about the time a popular TV show talked about a truck stop in Tuscaloosa.
