College football is woven into the fabric of life in Alabama because it is personal. Whether you’re born here or arrive later, choosing between Alabama and Auburn feels almost inevitable. Some would even say it is a rite of passage that comes with living in the state.

The annual showdown between Alabama and Auburn in the Iron Bowl is one of the sport’s most legendary and longest-standing rivalries. The game is Saturday, November 29, with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Even the mayors of Auburn and Tuscaloosa join the tradition, keeping a 20-year tradition alive by pledging a charitable donation based on the game’s outcome.
