Everybody wants to know, and my other question is, how long do you want to live?

I suppose a better way to ask that is, 'How old do you want to live to be?'

I think anything at the Century mark or over is really, really pushing it for me.

Who wants to live to be 100 or more if you also are in terrible pain every day, and you can’t see, and you can’t hear, and you have no teeth, and you are not really living your best life?

Well, probably not many of us, but what is the secret?

The oldest woman in Alabama is celebrating her 111th birthday this week!

Now that is really old, and I mean that in the best way possible.
Lillie Cunningham is her name, and she’s certainly celebrated plenty of birthdays, but she is not done yet.

Lilly is a resident of Florence, Alabama, and was born in Lauderdale County, 111 years ago.

She has rarely missed a Sunday church service at Rock Primitive Baptist Church in Florence.

This is very interesting. At the age of 102, she had surgery, and it was not just some minor procedure.

She had major hip surgery, and her family and friends say that she was up and walking around after less than a week.

That’s one strong Alabama woman who remains strong.
