This year will be the 15th annual "turkey trot".

The holiday "turkey trot" is a two-mile run/walk to support Magic Moments with the goal of bringing light to families that are going through tough times.

Wagner's Annual Turkey Trot is a popular event during the holiday season with a flat-timed course, giveaways, and food for all who participate.

Magic Moments is based in Alabama and is a non-profit looking to make dreams come true for Alabama children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

They place no limits on what children can request from a trip to Disney or a shopping spree. In addition, they are the only group exclusively devoted to the children of Alabama.

To get registered for this year's event visit tuscaloosaturkeytrot.com.

The cost to sign up is $20 for individuals and $25 for the entire family.

Turkey Trot participants are also being asked to fight local food insecurity by bringing non-perishable food items for donation.

The event is sponsored by Iron Tribe Fitness.
