The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office will join law enforcement agencies across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee for Operation Southern Slow Down, a regional traffic enforcement campaign focused on reducing speed-related crashes and saving lives.

Speeding continues to be a leading factor in fatal crashes, reducing reaction time and increasing the severity of collisions.

During this campaign, law enforcement will conduct increased enforcement on highways and roadways throughout Tuscaloosa County.

Obey the speed limit.
