Skilled Trades of West Alabama, Walker County Schools, and Alabama Power are among 20 programs honored for the Alabama Work-Based Learning Seal of Excellence. The Alabama Office of Apprenticeship awarded the recognition. The programs will have a chance to compete and showcase their work at various events across Alabama this Fall. The statewide winners will then be recognized in November and then awarded at the Alabama Summit on Talent Retention and Work-Based Learning on February 10-12 in Montgomery.

The Alabama Office of Apprenticeship (AOA) is dedicated to expanding and enhancing apprenticeship opportunities across the state.

Recognized in March 2020 as a State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA) by the U.S. Department of Labor, the AOA works closely with employers, educators, workforce development agencies, and industry leaders to develop high-quality, demand-driven registered apprenticeship programs and support a broad range of work-based learning initiatives.
