Tuscaloosa Families Invited to Fathers in the Park Event
Families across Tuscaloosa are invited to celebrate fatherhood at Fathers in the Park, a free community event hosted by Tuscaloosa’s One Place. It will be hosted on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Snow Hinton Park, located at Hinton Pk Dr, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
Organized by the CHAMPS program at Tuscaloosa’s One Place, the annual event supports fathers and families through a mission centered on stronger parenting and healthier relationships. CHAMPS, which stands for Changing Habits and Making Parents Stronger, helps non-custodial parents develop parenting skills, build healthy relationship habits, and improve economic stability.
“Fathers in the Park is about celebrating fathers and giving families a space to connect, have fun, and learn about resources available in our community,” said Roosevelt Jackson, CHAMPS program director at Tuscaloosa’s One Place. “Through CHAMPS, we work with fathers and parents to build stronger relationships, strengthen parenting skills, and support long-term family stability. This event is one way we can honor the important role fathers play while bringing the community together.”
