An undercover operation targeting men soliciting minors for sex acts yielded five arrests last week, police in Tuscaloosa announced Monday.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said investigators with the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force made five arrests during an undercover operation last week conducted by members of the task force and Covenant Rescue Group, a  Jefferson County nonprofit.

Five men were charged with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for a unlawful sex act.

  • Benjamin Justin Collier III, 25, of Birmingham
  • Raymond Eugene Clark, 28, of Tuscaloosa
  • George Prater, 45, of Port Arthur, Texas
  • Terry Leon Wright, 25, of Tuscaloosa
  • Malicah Santeaugo McKinney, 20, of Northport

Taylor said a judge will set bond for each suspect after initial hearings soon to come.

The task force is made up of officers from TPD, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, University of Alabama Police Department, Northport Police Department and the Tuscaloosa Cyber Intelligence Unit.

They are assisted by Trafficking Hope, the University of Alabama's Institute for Data Analytics and Skull Games Inc.
