Some schools in West Alabama are choosing to either stay closed or dismiss early on Wednesday as the threat of severe weather looms.

As of 9 p.m. Tuesday night, neither Tuscaloosa City Schools nor the Tuscaloosa County School System have announced changes in operation, but other regional school systems have announced virtual learning days and early dismissals. Our regularly updated list is below.

Demopolis City Schools - students are released at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Greene County Schools - Virtual Learning Day Wednesday.

Hale County schools - Dismissing at 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Sumter County Schools - Dismissing at 12 p.m. Wednesday

Sumter County Schools will dismiss at 12:00 p.m. noon tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 due to the threat of inclement weather.
