West Blocton Investigation Reveals Disturbing Child Porn Images
There has been yet another child sexual abuse case revealed in Bibb County. 33-year-old Jonathan Dewayne White of West Blocton is in Bibb County Jail with a $1,650,000 bond. He is charged with possessing child sexual abuse material with the intent to disseminate it.
Court records reveal the images were found on White's Samsung cell phone. Among the material was a nude image of a 9-year-old girl, taken from a hidden camera in a bathroom, as well as several other nude images of preteen boys and girls.
White faces multiple charges, including 20 counts of possessing porn with the intent to disseminate, 20 counts of possessing porn containing obscene matter displaying minors, 10 counts of porn producing with minors and 10 counts of first-degree voyeurism.
The case was first discovered after West Blocton Police received a phone call about a deceased male child. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was called in to investigate and found much more than they expected.
A warrant was obtained, and a search was conducted by ALEA, the Department of Homeland Security and West Blocton Police. Police Chief Pete Hicks said that search discovered the concerning material.
At this point authorities have made no connection between the death of the young boy and the alleged child porn charges against White.
Unlike the recent child sex abuse ring case in Brent, Hicks says they have found no evidence that the children depicted in the photographs are from the Bibb County area. However, Chief Hicks encourages anyone with information to contact West Blocton Police by calling 205-938-7806.
Eight people remain in the Bibb County Jail after authorities earlier this year broke up a child sex trafficking that had been operating in an underground tornado shelter in Brent.
