Man & Woman Killed in Pickens County, Double Homicide Suspect in Custody
Investigators have a suspect in custody after the double homicide of a man and woman in northern Pickens County Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Andy Hamlin, the district attorney for the 24th Judicial Circuit, prosecutes cases in Pickens, Fayette, and Lamar County and told the Thread that he and local investigators were on the scene for most of the night and morning.

Hamlin confirmed that a man and woman are dead, but said he could not yet publicly identify them as law enforcement officials work to notify their loved ones.
The DA also said a suspect is in custody who investigators believe to be responsible for the killings, although that person had not yet been formally charged in connection with the case as of Sunday morning.
More updates on the case are expected Monday, from Greg Carr, the Chief of the Pickens County Sheriff's Office.
