Details are still sparse, but a man is in custody after he allegedly opened fire on sheriff's deputies in Walker County Thursday afternoon.

According to a post on Facebook, the sheriff's office was on the scene on Lost Creek Road near Carbon Hill, Alabama.

It is not immediately clear why the man fired on police, but it drew a huge police presence and the local SWAT team to the area, and the road was closed while the situation was unfolding.

The Sheriff's Office followed up with a post showing the suspect being led away by deputies.

No one was injured during the incident Thursday afternoon.

Police have not yet identified the man or said what charges he will face for the standoff he allegedly initiated.
