Second-Annual Steak Grilling Competition Set for Saturday

The Venue, "Tuscaloosa's Newest Hangout," has a packed weekend, full of food and drinks, all scheduled to start on Friday.

Saturday at noon will feature the second-annual "Bama-Q Grilling in T-Town," a Steak Cookoff Association-sanctioned grilling competition hosted by Bama-Q TV.

It's open to the public and will feature a sampling tent with marinade and tailgate-inspired items, along with steaks cooked by nationally-acclaimed competition cooks.

Awards will take place at 5 p.m.

Attendees have the option of purchasing a $50 ticket for the "VIP Steak Experience," that'll start at 4:30. According to a press release, this includes a private seating area, competition samples, a steak made-to-order from The Venue’s executive chef, a potato bar, salad and a sampling of a newly-launched energy drink, "Legend."

The purchase also qualifies VIPs for a raffle to win a Hasty Bake Charcoal Grill.
