A West Alabama man has died weeks after a single-vehicle crash outside of Northport, State Troopers have confirmed.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said the wreck happened on the afternoon of Monday, October 27

Shaun Pearson, a man from Sulligent, Alabama, was driving a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, which left Highway 171 that day and overturned in a single-car accident.

The 60-year-old was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment and, weeks later, died on Friday, November 14th.

Bailey said the crash occurred on Alabama 171 near Fernwood Drive, approximately seven miles northwest of the Northport city limits, in Tuscaloosa County.

No other information was available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
