
Police Find Woman Dead from Gunshot Wound at Tuscaloosa Hospital, Suspect in Custody
A woman is dead, and investigators have a suspect in custody after a shooting that led police to Tuscaloosa's DCH Regional Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, confirmed to local media that they are looking into a deadly shooting.

Sellers said Tuscaloosa Police and the VCU were called to the DCH Hospital parking lot in Tuscaloosa, and an adult woman is dead from a gunshot wound.
It appears the woman was shot and killed in the hospital parking lot.
Sellers said a suspect is in custody and no further details are available at this time.
After the shooting, a DCH spokesperson shared a press release saying they were aware of the shooting and there is no threat to those inside.
"DCH Health System is aware of a shooting in a parking lot outside DCH Regional
Medical Center (RMC) on Tuesday afternoon," they said. "There is no current threat, and hospital operations have not been impacted by the incident. DCH is fully cooperating with law enforcement as they investigate the incident."
