Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles fell to Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-22 in Philadelphia on Thursday Night Football.

The Eagles struggled to get things going on offense all night, and the play calling from head coach Nick Sirianni did not help. Hurts finished 12-of-26 passing for just 115 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

Hurts looked off all night, missing receivers and struggling to move the ball all game. He did have a decent game rushing the ball, carrying 10 times for 44 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles went down 28-7 in the third quarter and Hurts started to mount a little comeback aided by some stops from the defense that kept Philly in it.

Hurts struggled to connect with DeVonta Smith all night, but while leading two scoring drives to make the game 28-22, Hurts made perhaps his best throw of the night to Smith for one of his only two catches of the night.

It was too little too late for Hurts and the Eagles however, as they never got the ball back. Tom Brady led the Buccaneers down the field to the goal line where they were able to take a knee after the two minute warning once the Eagles ran out of timeouts and run out the clock to end the game.

This has now been the third consecutive game that Jalen Hurts has struggled in after a loss against the Dallas Cowboys and an ugly win over the Carolina Panthers last week. Next Sunday, Hurts and the Eagles will travel west to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders as Hurts will look to get the offense back on track.
