An alum of an Alabama university recently competed on NBC's The Voice and has since advanced to the finale.
Jazz McKenzie is an alumnus of Alabama A&M University and she's made it to the finale of NBC's The Voice according to a press release from the University. McKenzie is being coached by pop icon Michael Bublé, and performed a rendition of the rock classic "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey and the judges loved it.
"Jazz reminds me of the greatest signers who ever lived," said Bublé after McKenzie's performance.
“I’m still soaking it all in,” McKenzie said according to the University. “Making it to the live finale has truly been a blessing.”
The two night finale of this season happens on December 15th and 16th at 8p central. During those two night, voters across America will determine the winner of this season.
"AAMU has been behind me since day one, and I’m grateful,” she said in the article from the University. “I appreciate all of the love and support.”

Voting during the live finale is the most important Mckenzie stressed ahead of the big days.
“If I win, I plan to keep building momentum, releasing some original music, performing on bigger stages, and using this platform to inspire other artists like myself (young or even in their 30s) that all things are possible. The winner is determined during the live finale, so we’ll all find out together. Please vote, vote, vote and Go Bulldogs!”
