If there's one thing I've learned about West Alabama, it's that people love great art. Coming from a big city like Orlando, this was refreshing to see.

Community members are encouraged to bring their families to Kentuck Art Center's monthly Art Night on August 5, 2021, from 5-8 pm. Each month, the art center hosts exhibition openings, open artists’ studios, live music in the courtyard, extended Gallery Shop hours, and pop-up shops from local vendors, and more. These events are FREE, family-friendly, and open to the public.

According to the event's Facebook page,

This month's Art Night features:
Museum Gallery
"Creations of a Curious Sort (What Maralyn Did During the Lockdown)"
By Maralyn Wilson
Community Teer Gallery: "Life Lines" by Lucas McDaniel
Live music by Andy Paxton
Community Art Project "BRING US YOUR BLING"
Pop up shops from local vendors
Kentuck's Art Nights and exhibitions are sponsored in part by the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Alabama Humanities Alliance.
Kentuck Art Center and Festival is an experiential arts and culture economic engine located in Historic Downtown Northport, Alabama. Rooted in 50-years of expertise, Kentuck touches the lives of tens of thousands of people from diverse walks of life in our local, regional, and national communities.
