It feels like it's not really Tuesday until we see Lebron James on his social media yelling "It's Taco Tuesday!!"

Well according to SBNation,  his company "LBJ Trademarks" officially filled paperwork to give him ownership of the the term "Taco Tuesday."

It's kind or weird because by looking at the definition of trademark, it seems Lebron would need to sell tacos for him to rightfully trademark the phrase. According to Merriam-Webster, a trademark is defined as a device (such as a word) pointing distinctly to the origin or ownership of merchandise to which it is applied and legally reserved to the exclusive use of the owner as maker or seller. Even if Lebron looked to open a taco business, it would be hard to trademark "Taco Tuesday", since a Taco Chain based in Wyoming currently holds a federal trademark for the phrase.

However it turns out, you can't be mad at Lebron's effort for attempting this trademark.
