Lil Uzi Vert Cancels 2019 ACL Festival Performance, Fans React With Anger
Lil Uzi Vert canceled his performance at the 2019 Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, on Friday (Oct. 4), just hours before he was set to perform.
Organizers of the ACL Festival hopped on their Twitter account to inform fans of the bad news. "Unfortunately, Lil Uzi Vert has cancelled his #ACLFest appearance for today. Catch @JaiWolfx on the T-Mobile Stage at 2:30pm and an encore set on the Honda Stage at 6:00pm! Check our website or the Official app for more info," they tweeted without providing further explanation about Uzi's cancellation.
The Philadelphia rapper has yet to release a statement explaining his absence from the festival. While canceling shows has become the norm for the Eternal Atake artist, just last month, Uzi performed at the Made In America Festival in his hometown of Philly.
His latest cancellation didn’t sit well with fans who are currently at the ACL Festival. Many of them expressed their anger via Twitter.
"U cancelled your set at ACL.. explain yourself coward @LILUZIVERT," tweeted one upset fan. Another person wrote, "lil uzi.. more like lil bitch for canceling his ACL set a couple of hours before his set. Smh."
One fan seemed to have a string of bad luck on not seeing Lil Uzi Vert rock the mic. He wrote, "@LILUZIVERT why the fuck did you cancel your ACL show 5 HOURS BEFORE YOU WERE SET TO PERFORM. I’ve bought tickets to your shows 3 different times and you’ve cancelled every single one."
