Lil Uzi Vert Says He’s No Longer on Good Terms With Playboi Carti
Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti were once BFFs but now the former XXL Freshmen are no longer on good terms, according to the Philly rapper.
Uzi went off on a Twitter rant on Thursday night (Nov. 28), and afterward fielded questions from fans. One answer stood out. When asked if he and Carti were still on good terms, Uzi blankly answered, "NO."
Later, another Twitter user inquired about the status of Uzi and Carti's friendship again.
"What about you and Carti???" the person asked.
"Nothing I just took a different route," Uzi answered.
People were happy to know that there was at least no beef between the frequent collaborators. "I'm not tough. I don't beef. We could have a friendly dress off," Uzi wrote.
Uzi had the internet abuzz last night, after he called out his Generation Now label bosses DJ Drama and Don Cannon on social media.
"Fuck Dj drama he broke ♂️Niggas need me 2 drop 2 pay bills," Uzi wrote in a pair of since-deleted tweets. "My best friend Mean Got More Money Den Drama I Swear on Everything he not even in the Industry ♂️ @MeanXVI," he wrote in another tweet.
"I still got love for Don Cannon with his Fake Ass ahhhhh You snake ass nigga I wanna be just like you when I grow up," Uzi added.
Uzi has shown frustration with the imprint for a while now. His highly anticipated Eternal Atake album continues to sit in limbo.
