West Alabama Festival Seeks 2027 Nonprofit Beneficiary

One West Alabama nonprofit could get a major boost next year through one of the area's signature food and beverage events.

The West Alabama Food & Wine Festival is accepting applications from local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations interested in becoming a beneficiary of its 2027 festival.

Applications open Friday, August 21 and will remain open through October 2.

Since its founding in 2012, the West Alabama Food & Wine Festival has raised $356,000 for local nonprofit organizations while bringing together restaurants, chefs and others from the area's food and beverage community.

Each year, the festival supports two nonprofit beneficiaries, with organizations typically participating for two years.

Table of Grace will return for its second year as a beneficiary in 2027. The Humane Society of West Alabama is completing its two-year term, opening a spot for another local organization.

“We’re incredibly proud that the Festival has grown into an event that not only celebrates the amazing food and beverage community we have in West Alabama, but also provides meaningful support to organizations doing important work right here at home,” Executive Director Amy Martin said.

Eligible nonprofits are being asked to provide information about their mission, impact in the community and how support from the festival could help further their work.

The organization selected will join Table of Grace as a beneficiary of the 2027 West Alabama Food & Wine Festival, scheduled for April 18, 2027, in Downtown Northport.
