The Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) took down the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (1-2) 63-7 in Bryant-Denny Stadium. It many ways it was a "get right" game for the Crimson Tide after struggling on the road against the Texas Longhorns in Week 2. Alabama answered head coach Nick Saban's challenge to play at a high level no matter the quality of opponent and dominated on all three phases of the game.

"All these things that we do matter. You're being judged to a standard as an individual player. We're being judged to standard as a team. Everybody's got to make a choice and decision about, are you going to play to that standard on a consistent basis. Not every now and then and there's a lot that goes into that. It's preparation, it's how you practice, it's focusing on the things that you need to do when you play against good competition so that you have a chance to be successful," said Saban.

The message after the game was, did you do that or not? How would you be judged based on how you played, what you did, obviously a lot of good things out there today. Scored on defense, scored a couple times on special teams, had 262 yards on punt returns. We made plays on offense, started a little slow but got better as it went and defensively I think we did a pretty good job. We went for it on fourth down and gave them pretty good field position, that's how they scored a touchdown. That's probably on me."

Anyways, all-in-all I think we made some progress. There's some evidence out there that this is the standard that we want to play to but I think everybody's gotta judge what do we need to do to continue to improve. SEC play starting next week it's going to take a little better effort on everybody's part to play with consistency. "
