Major Crash Closes Highway 11 in Cottondale, Alabama

An early morning accident is causing significant delays on Highway 11 in Cottondale.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter "Captain" Ray says the accident occurred near Bama Salvage about a half a mile from the I-20/59 on ramp at Exit 79.

Authorities estimate it will take several hours for the crash to be cleared, and commuters are advised to seek an alternate route.
