MJ Live Brings Michael Jackson Hits to Tuscaloosa
If you’re a fan of Michael Jackson, or just love a good live show, Tuscaloosa is about to get a night that feels like a full concert experience.
MJ Live, a tribute to the King of Pop, is coming to the Historic Bama Theatre on Friday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m., according to the press release.
The show stars Danny Dash Andrews, recognized as one of the top Michael Jackson tribute performers in the country. From the voice to the moves, the goal is simple — bring that full MJ energy back to the stage.

And this isn’t just a quick tribute set. This is a full production.
According to Nicholas J. Finch, Communications and Design Specialist for The Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County, the show is built to feel like a real Michael Jackson concert from start to finish.
“People can expect a show for all ages, this live, non-stop, high-energy show will take you on a breathtaking, magical musical journey that spans Jackson's four-decade career,” Finch said. “Our extraordinary production features a live band and state-of-the-art concert lighting and sound that truly capture the essence of Michael Jackson's worldwide concerts.”
So if you’re thinking hits, you’re getting all eras. From the early Jackson 5 sound to the global superstar run, it’s designed to take you through the full evolution of MJ’s career.
The performance is part of the TuscArts OnStage season, which continues to bring a mix of shows to the city.

“Our goal is to bring acts to the Bama Theatre that the Tuscaloosa community and surrounding areas will enjoy,” Finch added. “With such a diverse population, we make an effort to provide different types of performances at the Historic Bama Theatre through the TuscArts OnStage presenting series.”
For fans who want to take it a step further, there’s also a VIP Meet and Greet option. That includes a post-show experience with “MJ,” an autographed poster, and a chance to grab a photo.
The show goes down inside the Historic Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa, and tickets are on sale now, according to the press release.
If you’ve been looking for something different to do this weekend, this might be one of those nights where you get a little nostalgia, a little performance, and a lot of energy all in one place.
