My Favorite Margarita in Tuscaloosa - Happy National Margarita Day

Happy National Margarita Day to you!  It is no secret; I love Margaritas.  My good friend even nicknamed me, “Sister Mary Margarita.”  [Insert laughs here]

My Favorite Margarita in Tuscaloosa goes to Taco Mama on University Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa and their Watermelon Margarita.  It turns out it was my very first Tuscaloosa Margarita was at the Tuscaloosa Taco Mama as well.  It’s such a great place!  I remember that day.  I felt like it was my lucky day because I found parking within a few feet of this taco and margarita dynasty.  The energy of this spot was really impressive, everyone was friendly, patrons were cool, and Marvin Gaye “Got to Get It Up” was setting the mood.

The drink menu has so many choices like the Mercedes, Jose Jalapeno, Houdini Frozen, and more.  That day, I decided on the Watermelon Margarita, which was served on the rocks!  FRESH Watermelon chunks were muddled, along with triple sec, lime juice, and Pepe Lopez silver tequila.  I never had this tequila before, so I was very intrigued.  Even though the Watermelon Margarita is seasonal, it still my favorite Margarita.  The runner up is the Jalapeno!
