the weather in West Alabama has me feeling like I'm back home in Florida. Wouldn't it be lovely to spend a day in the sun with the sand between your toes, listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore?  With spring break upon us, it may not be a bad idea to take a trip to Alabama's beautiful Gulf Shores.

Heading over to the Gulf Shores may not be a bad idea this coming weekend. There's plenty to do for the whole family. Check out this quick list of things to do in Gulf Shores this weekend.

March 13th-14th, the 47th Orange Beach Festival of Art will take place. This is a kid friendly event that has an admission price you can't beat. It's completely free to get in! With over 100 vendors, the festival will feature visual arts, performing arts, musical and culinary arts as well.

If you want to check out some of the shopping scenes in the Gulf Shores, you can check out the Wharf at Orange Beach. The Wharf is known to have a shop for every style. You're sure to find something for yourself and the family.

After working up an appetite, you can grab a bite to eat! If seafood is your thing, I heard a lot of great reviews about Cotton's. Although I've never been, I trust the recommendation. If you're not into seafoodor their steaks, there are endless options in the beautiful Gulf shores for you to choose from.

If you're looking for weekend plans, grab your loved ones, and hit the road for a great weekend in Gulf shores.
