A new boutique cycling studio is open in downtown Tuscaloosa, where trainers offer patrons three intense workouts in one.

The new business, called THREE15, is owned and operated by Mandy Moseley, a University of Alabama alumna who taught her first spin and cycling classes at the university's Rec Center when she was a student here.

Moseley opened the first THREE15 studio in Homewood in 2017 because no one else was offering the three major stationary bike workouts in one -- cycling, barre and strength.

Those three exercises are at the core of the THREE15 method -- fifteen minutes of each workout, with five minutes before and after to warm up and cool down. Clients get a 55-minute total-body workout instead of having to attend different classes for each fitness routine.

"It's like joining three boutique studios for the price of one membership," Moseley said.

After her first studio took off, Moseley opened a second location in Birmingham and has now opened a third in the Druid City. The new studio can be found at 2320 6th Street next to FIVE and Vitola Cigars, and they're already open for business and will be managed by Tuscaloosa native Preston Adair,

Each class at THREE15 consists of 20 clients working with one instructor. Moseley said the small size makes each workout a personal experience, so the well-trained staff can carefully monitor each student's form, pace and progress.

"Challenging and fast-paced, never boring, always encouraging, THREE15 is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced," Moseley said. "You’ll get lost in the rhythm, discover the strongest parts of yourself, and leave class feeling unstoppable."

Right now, THREE15 offers around six classes per weekday and three on Saturdays and Sundays, but Moseley said the studio will happily add more classes as demand increases locally.

The new studio is an official partner of lululemon athletica and is one of the only places in the city to purchase their merchandise, and they have also partnered with Tuscaloosa's own Monarch Espresso Bar to sell cold coffees and other drinks right in the studio.

Find out more on THREE15's website, where you can also download their mobile app to book classes directly. You'll have to act fast, though. Moseley said although the Tuscaloosa location has been open less than a week, all classes are already booked for several days in advance.

The studio will also offer a discount to any student, professor or staff of local universities and colleges -- just bring your school ID to the studio for this special offer.
