N.O.R.E. Thinks Kanye West’s Jesus Is King Album Is Trash
Don't count N.O.R.E. as a fan of Kanye West's latest.
Stopping by Power 106's Nick Cannon Mornings show for an episode that was uploaded on Tuesday (Oct. 29), the rapper-podcast host kept it all the way real with his feelings about Yeezy's newly released Jesus Is King album.
"Jesus Is King is trash," N.O.R.E. explained after Cannon asked him about his take on the LP. "I love Kanye. I wanna be clear... How the fuck you got Clipse on a record that's not good? Jesus is mad at this nigga."
Elsewhere in the interview, N.O.R.E. said he didn't really like Kanye did an interview with Beats 1 Radio's Zane Lowe as opposed to a sit-down with someone from "the culture."
"As a person who made the War Report album, I've done records with Mariah Carey... When I see you ever go to any place other than us—the culture—I have a problem with that," the rapper added.
N.O.R.E.'s take on Yeezy's album fits on the spectrum of mixed reactions to the LP, which some critics have called good and others have called his weakest effort. Regardless of how fans and critics feel, though, you can bet the LP will do numbers and help propel a successful Jesus Is King Tour.
Check out N.O.R.E.'s thoughts on Kanye's new album and the promotional cycle surrounding it for yourself below. He speaks on his feelings about the LP at around the 8:30 mark.
