Police in Tuscaloosa Seek Person of Interest After Saturday Night Killing
Investigators in Tuscaloosa are seeking a man they describe as a person of interest after a fatal shooting at the Marathon Gas Station next to Dave's Crimson Bar on James I. Harrison Jr Parkway Saturday.
The shooting took place outside the gas station around 11 o'clock Saturday night and 23-year-old Laquavius Leon Pearson was killed.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency Violent Crimes Unit, said the man depicted in security footage interacting with people both inside and outside the gas station before the shooting.
Kennedy said the man was shirtless and left in a small, dark vehicle.
Investigators are asking anyone with information leading to the identity of this person, anyone with photos or videos of him, or anyone with information about events before or after the shooting to contact the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit at 205-464-8690.
