The Las Vegas Raiders were not in action this past week but the former Alabama receiver has had a strong season for the AFC West catching 24 passes for 469 yards and two touchdowns.

Ruggs has been open throughout his career about honoring the memory of his high school teammate and friend Roderic Scott. Scott passed away in a tragic car accident while the pair were classmates at Robert E. Lee High School and Ruggs traditionally salutes his friend after touchdowns.

The Raiders are in the midst of a tumultuous season after the organization parted ways with former head coach Jon Gruden upon uncovering emails that contained disparaging remarks about minorities and other league officials.

The Raiders selected Ruggs with the No. 12 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. While at Alabama as a member of the "Rydeouts" he caught 98 passes for 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns.
