Riff Raff, AJ Tracey, Guapdad 4000 and More: New Projects This Week
Several anticipated projects premiered over the course of the last seven days. This is the place for you to check out all of the freshly released albums, mixtapes and EPs of the week.
Riff Raff is back with more colorful raps. For his latest project, Cranberry Vampire, the “Tip Toe Wing in My Jawwdinz” rapper sinks his platinum teeth into hard-hitting production from DJ Paul and others, while also joining forces with Chief Keef. The 12-song album, which Riff Raff considers the hardest Halloween album in history, features previously-released tunes such as the DJ Paul-produced “Marshmallow Mazerati,” “Bring It Back to Me Baby,” “These Eyes” and the Keef-assisted “Floor Seats.”
AJ Tracey returns with a deluxe edition of his self-titled debut album. The U.K. rapper delivers five additional songs on the updated version, which includes guest appearances from SahBabii and more, plus additional production from Take A Daytrip and more. The Caribbean-flavored track "Butterflies" receives the remix treatment featuring Popcaan. Earlier this year, when AJ spoke with XXL for The Break, he discussed how he's separating himself from fellow artists. “I’m different and because I’m better than everyone else,” he shared.
Guapdad 4000’s hustler’s spirit has been the gift that just keeps on giving. The “Scammin” rapper, who finessed his way to the top, is now ready to deliver his debut album, Dior Deposits. The star-studded album featuring collaborations with Chance The Rapper, Tory Lanez, 6lack, G-Eazy and Charlie Wilson, to name a few, is the Oakland native's first project since 2017's ScamBoy Color. The Zoink Gang member, who has locked in cosigns from the likes of Drake, Big Sean and J. Cole, appeared on three of the tracks that are found on Dreamville’s chart-topping Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation.
