Shamefully, I’m Trying This Tuscaloosa Staple For The First Time
I already know there will be dozens of people who will read this and shame me for never trying this popular Tuscaloosa restaurant.
With that said, I'm prepared for it.
At least I finally tried it right?
When I first moved to Alabama in 2019, there were a few food places that were heavily recommended for me to try.
The staples like Archibald's and Full Moon BBQ were on the list. Taco Casa for sure made the list and I even documented my first time going there.
Some other places that were recommended were Taco Mama, and Buffalo Phil's.
Recently, I tried one of these recommended places and the crazy thing is that I've driven past this place dozens of times while living in Tuscaloosa.
If baked potato casserole or the Philibuster rings a bell, then you know exactly which restaurant I'm talking about.
Yes. I've been living in Tuscaloosa for three years and I've finally tried Buffalo Phil's.
I didn't quite know what to expect when I walked into the building but I can say I loved the decoration.
The nostalgia, the University of Alabama-themed decorations, and the memorabilia were amazing to see.
My "tour guide" informed me that I had to try a Philibuster, and the winger combo with crimson sauce.
I didn't take him up on the drink offer due to me being on lunch break, but I couldn't help but to try the crimson sauce and the baked potato casserole. I was shocked!
The casserole was amazing. the crimson sauce was something I couldn't explain but I liked it.
The tenders were juicy and the wings were well-seasoned. I really enjoyed my meal.
I can honestly see why people like Buffalo Phil's so much.
When you put the good drinks, tasty food, and amazing service together, it's a win all around.
Now, I have to go back to try a Philibuster and some more items off their menu. Let me know your favorites at Buffalo Phil's by sending me an email to DreDay@Townsquaremedia.com.
