Stillman Seeks Athletes for New Flag Football Team
Women’s flag football continues to grow across Alabama, and now Stillman College is giving student-athletes an opportunity to be part of program history.
Stillman Athletics has announced an Open Tryout and Prospect Camp for the inaugural Stillman College Women’s Flag Football team. The event will take place Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Stillman College football field in Tuscaloosa. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.

The tryout is open to students entering grades 9 through 12, as well as transfer students interested in competing at the collegiate level.
According to Stillman Athletics, the camp is designed to identify future Tigers while giving participants the opportunity to showcase their skills, compete against other athletes and learn more about the program's expectations.
As women’s flag football continues to gain momentum nationwide, programs across Alabama are creating new opportunities for athletes to continue playing beyond high school. Stillman’s launch of a women’s flag football team adds another pathway for student-athletes looking to compete while pursuing their education.
Organizers encourage interested athletes to come prepared to compete and demonstrate the athleticism, leadership and football knowledge needed to help build the program from the ground up.
The prospect camp will be held at Stillman College, located at 3601 Stillman Boulevard in Tuscaloosa.
For additional information, interested participants can contact the coaching staff at **[twhittle@stillman.edu](mailto:twhittle@stillman.edu)**.
Those who earn a spot on the roster will have the opportunity to become part of the first women’s flag football team in Stillman College history.
