Stillman to Host Educator Day Featuring 11 Area School Districts
There is no doubt that educators are one of the most important jobs in the country.
Stillman College is hosting an event to help those interested in education gain employment and make professional connections.
As needs for educators increase across the state of Alabama, Stillman College is doing its part to help those interested in education gain certification.
Stillman already has in place a program called Teacher Bootcamp where individuals are offered a four-course, state-approved pathway -- entirely online -- toward teacher certification.
This April, Stillman College will once again do its part to offer individuals a pathway to gaining their teacher certification through its Educator Day event.
Stillman's Educator Day will take place on April 21st, 2023 in the Harte Center on Stillman's campus.
The event will begin at 11a and end at 2p.
The Educator Day event will feature eleven school districts from the area including:
School Districts that will attend:
- Hale County Schools
- Legacy Prep
- Fort Payne City Schools
- Birmingham City Schools
- Tuscaloosa City Schools
- Student Alabama Education Association (SAEA)
- Tuscaloosa County Schools
- Selma City Schools
- Hoover City Schools
- Pickens County Schools
- Auburn City Schools
At Educator Day Stillman Educator Day will provide Stillman students, alumni, and Tuscaloosa residents interested in a career in the classroom the chance to meet directly with nearly a dozen school districts and discuss alternate pathways to teacher certification, salaries, and open teacher positions.
