Paul W. Bryant has forfeited its game against region rival Hillcrest this Friday for reasons related to COVID-19, Hillcrest coach Sam Adams told Tide 100.9.
Tonight, the Northridge High School Jaguars (3-0, 1-0) won a hard-fought game against the Paul W. Bryant Stampede (0-3, 0-1) with the final score of 20-12.
The game was controlled from start to finish by Jay Todd's Wildcats thanks to an effective running game and capitalizing on timely turnovers. Star County High running back Damien Taylor rushed three touchdowns to give the Wildcats a 21-0 halftime lead. Taylor busted a 46-yard run on his final carry of the evening to put a stamp on an impressive week one performance, he rushed for 150 yards on the evening.
