The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Kicks Off Exciting New Season
The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra 2022-2023 season will be “filled with showstoppers that everyone will be able to enjoy,” said Natassia Perrine, the orchestra's Executive Director. “From classics like the Overture to William Tell to fresh and current composers like Gabriela Lena Frank.”
The kick-off to concert season “Symphonic Spectacular” is on Monday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Moody Concert Hall. “This concert showcases the favorites of the classical repertoire and the magnificent organ in the Moody Concert Hall,” said the press release.
Perrine encourages those that have never been to the symphony to give it a try this season.
What to Expect
“Audience members will enjoy Rossini's Overture to Guillaume Tell, Gabriela Lena Frank's Three Latin American Dances, John Williams' With Malice toward None from “Lincoln” and Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony No. 3.”

Perrine is excited about a new “partnership with Tuscaloosa City Schools. Dance and art students from The Alberta School of the Performing Arts and Tuscaloosa Fine Arts Academy at Bryant High School will be going to us for our Annual Children’s Concert ‘Give Me Space’ - composed by TSO’s Principal Tubist Kenyon Wilson.”
Also, Perrine mentioned that TSO will continue its “partnerships with the Stillman College Concert Choir, Shelton State Singers, and Prentice Concert Chorale.”
