This Alabama Beach Made The List Of The Top Beaches In The Nation
Do you know how many beaches are in the United States?
Honestly, I didn't either that's why I dove into many articles online to find the answer.
How Many Beaches Are In The U.S?
The very first number I found was more than I ever thought. I was thinking there were close to 15,000 beaches in the nation. According to Best Diplomats, there are an estimated 90,000 beaches in the United States of America.
I figured that number to be a little high so I kept digging. When I came across the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. I thought that I would personally trust that source more than others.
The EPA states that there are a total of just over 6,000 beaches in the United States. The exact number is 6,099 with 3,472 of those being monitored beaches and 2,627 being unmonitored.
Alabama Beaches
Out of those, the Yellowhammer state accounts for 95 beaches.
Did you know that Alabama had that many?!
Out of the close to 100 beaches in Alabama, and over 6,000 in the nation, one beach from Alabama made the list of the best beaches in the nation.
Conde Nast Traveler recently did an article on the best beaches in the United States and an Alabama beach made the list!
With there being only 24 beaches on their list, it's safe to say that this Alabama beach is in some pretty elite company.
The Alabama beach that made the list of one of the best in the nation is.....
