Stillman finished the season 23-18 overall and 19-2 in conference play, earning the No. 2 seed in the upcoming HBCUAC Softball Championships. The tournament is set for April 25 through April 28 at River Run Park in Northport.

The Tigers share the regular season crown with Dillard University, which claimed the top seed after winning the tiebreaker earlier this season. Stillman, however, responded with a strong finish, going on a 19-game win streak in conference play after a walk-off home run from Lily Stone helped spark the run.

Now, the focus turns to the postseason.

Stillman will open tournament play Saturday at 4 p.m. against No. 7 seed Talladega College. The Tigers recently swept Talladega in a three-game series, outscoring them 26-5.

Offensively, Stillman has dominated HBCUAC competition, outscoring opponents 192-64 and scoring 10 or more runs in 11 conference wins.

Alex Erwin leads the conference with a .550 batting average and 24 stolen bases, while Avary Lumpkin is hitting .508 with four home runs and 38 RBIs.

In the circle, Michaela Otts holds a 0.81 ERA, and Karli Crocker is 6-0 in conference starts.

Stillman enters the tournament looking to build on last year’s championship run and make another deep postseason push.
