The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Tornado Warning in effect until 7 a.m. for portions of Chilton, Perry, and Bibb Counties.

The text of the warning is as follows:

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 AM CST FOR
SOUTHWESTERN CHILTON...NORTHEASTERN PERRY AND SOUTHEASTERN BIBB
COUNTIES...

At 631 AM CST, a confirmed tornado was located over Talladega
National Forest, or 10 miles southeast of Centreville, moving east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Maplesville, Lawley, Talladega National Forest, Chilton County Motor
Sports Park, Randolph, Oakmulgee, Isabella and Trio.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
