Tornado Watch Issued for Northwest Alabama Until 1 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a TORNADO WATCH for several counties in our listening area.

The watch is in effect until 1 p.m. and includes the following counties:

• Fayette
• Lamar
• Marion
• Walker
• Winston

Storms capable of producing tornadoes and wind gusts of 70 miles an hour or greater are possible in the watch area.
