The National Weather Service of Birmingham has issued a Tornado Watch for most western Alabama counties until 9:00pm December 18th, 2025.

FAYETTE
GREENE
LAMAR
MARION
PICKENS
SUMTER
TUSCALOOSA
WALKER

Weather Outlook

Showers and storms have developed in eastern Mississippi and will move into western Alabama over the next few hours.  Just enough instability combined with wind shear aloft, will continue to present a chance for a few severe storms to develop that will move along and west/northwest of the I-59 corridor through this evening. Storms should weaken by midnight with no severe storms expected elsewhere at this time.
