Shelton State Basketball Hosting Pickleball Tournament

Pickleball players across West Alabama have a chance to hit the courts for a good cause next weekend.

The Shelton State Men’s Basketball program will host its Hoops & Paddles pickleball tournament on Saturday, August 22, at Bowers Park in Tuscaloosa.

Presented by Taco Casa, the event will bring teams together for a day of competition and fun while raising support for Shelton State student-athletes.

Organizers are encouraging pickleball players to put together a team and register to compete. Whether you’re already a regular on the pickleball court or simply looking for a fun way to support a local college athletic program, the tournament offers an opportunity to get involved.

The basketball program is also asking community members to spread the word to friends, family members and coworkers who may be interested in playing.
