Holden, a former four-star recruit coming out of Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California brings incredible size and length to the Alabama receiver room with his 6-foot-3, 208 pound frame. As a freshman last season, Holden appeared in five games but did not record any stats.

The Kissimmee, Fla. native developed a connection with quarterback Bryce Young early and often during Alabama's spring game. Holden led all Crimson Tide receivers with nine receptions for 89 yards working against the first-team defense.

"I think Trae's continuing to work hard," Slade Bolden said during spring practice. "I think he's starting to understand what we expect from him and he's done a good job putting in the work."

With the departure of DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle, Holden is expected to carve out a big role in Alabama's offense this season. John Metchie III was asked on Monday about the development of Holden heading into his second season. "He's definitely grown tremendously, playbook wise, being comfortable out there and just seeing him get comfortable and play his game."

The Crimson Tide returned to the practice field Monday for their second week of fall camp.
