As families across Alabama get ready for holiday travel, shopping, celebrations, and ringing in the New Year, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is stepping in with a familiar reminder that safety still comes first.

ALEA is launching its annual 12 Days of Safety campaign, a holiday season initiative designed to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities during one of the busiest travel periods of the year. The campaign runs from December 21 through January 1 and delivers a daily safety reminder through social media, videos, photos, and public outreach.

According to ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor, the goal is simple. Make memories, not tragedies. Here is the full daily countdown ALEA is sharing with Alabamians this holiday season.
